Legend of Erthia - New Webpage & Update

by Couchpotato, Wednesday - March 25, 2015 03:09

Legend of Erthia has a new webpage and update from the games developer. Also it seems the games name has been changed to Legend of Erthia: Resurrection.

Legend of Erthia Resurrection! So, reflecting on the news from the LOE Facebook page. Here is the title of the U7 approach of LOE which has now branched off onto an Ultima Online based experience but offline. I had to branch off the U7 approach due to complications with the ABS script, it is only functional while playing as a solo character.

LOE – Resurrection has a lot already implemented into it such as a skill system similar to Ultima Online. I have already began working on it over ayear ago. This is a commercial project (3-5 bucks) which will hold a lot of excitement if you are indeed familiar with UO.

The features will include: Ultima Onine like skill and progress system, crafting, mining, a 100% open world, and consequences for dying. If you die, it will be similar to UO. This will build a lot of tension when you want to get good loot and have to face dangerous creatures.

The idea of this project is really for the thrill of wandering, getting lost, looting, running into a decisive battles, and basically living in the world of Erthia. There will be lots of random quests alongside the sandbox world.

As for some lore, this is actually a 2015 spawn of what I started in around 2002 with Nedango when the name Legend of Erthia came into creation. It was a solo party member action rpg based take on the world of Erthia. So, this project is going to be pretty much where I left off back in 2002 despite being mostly an open world.

The Legend of Erthia - Game Update

by Couchpotato, Thursday - December 25, 2014 05:52

It has been a few months since my last update for The Legend of Erthia an RPG Maker inspired wizardry game. The game as had a bunch of updates on Facebook.

Alright guys, I am staying on top of things. Just a reminder, tomorrow I will be presenting my first week to week goal planner. Each week, on Mondays, I will be sharing it so nobody is left in the dark on the project. Besides the last little while due to complications, I often worked on LOE and have not shared all of the updates, so I want to make sure I communicate what is going on a little better!

The Legend of Erthia - Game Update

by Couchpotato, Thursday - May 22, 2014 00:23

It has been a while since I posted anything about the fan inspired  M&M game The Legend of Erthia. The developers have a new update on Facebok about a new game.

I have completed the next dungeon for LOE - Armageddon. LOE - Armageddon currently has over 50 first person view maps created! So, I am going to take a slight break from LOE - Armageddon and go back to Kingdoms of Erthia (LOE - Tactics) and begin some more work on that. My goal for KOE is something like a cross between Fantasy General and Fantasy Empires.

Legend of Erthia - Combat Poll

by Couchpotato, Tuesday - January 28, 2014 02:09

The developers of Legend of Erthia have a new poll on Facebook to see what type of combat players want in the game.

Just out of curiosity. What do you guys prefer?

Option 1: Creatures on the map following the heroes and when touched battle is activated, but is limited to showing one sprite and generating a battle of 100% the sprite on the map (creature) and then 2 other randomly selected creatures in the area. Creatures would respawn over time.

Option2: Battles will be randomly generated similar to MM2 (I think that is how it worked not 100% sure, haven't played it) by walking on the map and is more realistic in terms of random creature generation. This option wouldn't affect respawning but will give more loot and exp. Also, encounter rates won't be every 2 step but at a decent rate. Of course, main creatures such as guardians, quest creatures, and the such will still have sprites on the map.

Remember, combat is still a bit different than Might and Magic in terms of encounters. The battles still have to be activated.

So which option do you prefer, option 1 or option 2?

Legend of Erthia - A Might & Magic Inspired RPG

by Couchpotato, Monday - January 27, 2014 04:34

While searching for news on the latest Might & Magic game. I came across a game called The Legend of Erthia.  Here is a video and some details.

Legend of Erhia – Armageddon is a non-profit project inspired by the Might and Magic series that is being created with Rpg Maker VX. LOE – Armageddon is using many custom scripts to bring the game’s mechanics to a cross between MMIV-V (World of Xeen) and Might and Magic VII. The project also uses a highly modified version of the first person perspective script adapted to work with
